The Koktebel Jazz Party international festival in Koktebel is a number one event in the schedule of Crimea's festivals, Head of Feodosia Dmitry Shchepetkov announced.

"In my view, the Koktebel Jazz Party is a number one event in the schedule of Crimea's festivals. This year it is being held for the 13th time. Throughout its history it has been an image event not just for Koktebel and Feodosia, but for all of Crimea, Dmitry Shchepetkov said.

According to the official, the maximum number of people attracted by the festival is estimated at around 30,000, and the event is not even held in the high season, he stressed.

"It is of utmost importance for local authorities to expand the boundaries of the season. We don't see any mechanisms other than holding festivals, the head of Feodosia said. In his opinion, holding such events has a positive impact both on the development of local tourism and the republic's economy, and also bears an educational function.
